The Heart of Bar Harbor
Since 1990, Kids' Corner (KC) has been the cornerstone of nurturing young minds and dreams in our community. We are deeply grateful for the trust families have placed in us, allowing us to care for over 1,000 children over the past 34 years.
The bonds we’ve built with families are cherished, and it fills us with pride and joy when our KC alumni stop by to share their achievements on their way home from the big school. Our dedicated teachers, with over 75 years of combined experience, are now welcoming the second generation of Kids’ Corner kids, witnessing the growth and impact of our work with awe and gratitude.

Our History
Kids' Corner is a non-profit, community-based childcare center in Bar Harbor, ME. It was designed primarily to serve the needs of families and businesses in the Mount Desert Island area. Kids' Corner opened its doors in September of 1990 after three years of planning. Representatives from eight local businesses in cooperation with a group of island citizens were responsible for its conception and realization.

We offer high-quality, developmentally-appropriate programs in a responsive environment that supports the diverse needs of all children. Our center is designed to foster a sense of belonging and joy.
